Anteater Birth No Male, How does a giant anteater get pregnant and give birth without her mate?

It’s a question the staff members at the LEO Zoological Conservation Center in Greenwich, Connecticut, have been asking themselves since discovering the baby anteater in April, the Greenwich Time reports.

The story began in August, when Armani gave birth to baby Alice. Male anteaters commonly commit infanticide, so Alf, the father, was removed from the enclosure. He has remained in a separate space since then, the Time reports.

As far as zookeepers know, Armani and Alf haven’t had contact since August. Yet eight months later, little Archie was born.

Disney pulls sexy princess after complaints, Hundreds of thousands of parents have validated Walt Disney’s saying “All dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.”

In this case, Disney (DIS) has listened to the more than 210,000 petitioners who complained about the sexy makeover given to the fiery-haired Merida, heroine of “Brave.” The media giant on Wednesday restored the original, more realistic version (pictured, left) to its official princess Website. On late Thursday, Disney told MSN moneyNOW that the makeover had been designed as a “one-time effort.”

As reported Friday, parents were up in arms over Merida’s sexy makeover (pictured, right) to get her ready for her coronation into the Disney princess lineup.

Rod Stewart once pulled bloke thought woman, Rod Stewart has revealed that he once unknowingly seduced a man.

The rock veteran explained to US DJ Howard Stern that he met who he thought was an attractive blonde woman at a bar in Australia in the 1970′s.

He brought the ‘woman’ back to his hotel room, only to realise that he was actually male, and that his Faces bandmates had likely pranked him.

“There was this beautiful woman and I was thinking, ‘Why aren’t the guys trying to chat her up?’” he said.

“They said, ‘Rod, we have left her for you’. It turned out she was a guy. I finished up in bed with a bloke who had a block and tackle.

“I thought, the guys have set me up, fair enough. I just said, ‘You stay there, I’ll stay over here’.”

When asked how far he had got with his bedmate, he said: “There may have been a peck on the neck.”

Stewart added that he has never been a fan of group sex, saying: “I never really got into orgies. I tried it with a couple of Japanese girls a long time ago and I found it all a bit disappointing and distracting.”

Rod Stewart recently revealed that taking steroids for years ended up shrinking his penis.

He is currently on course to top the UK album chart for the first time since 1976.

Player Cut After Diagnosis, Defensive tackle Kyle Love was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes within the last two weeks. The New England Patriots responded by releasing the fourth-year pro Wednesday with a non-football injury designation, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.

It’s not like Love’s play on the field was a huge problem. He made the team as an undrafted free agent in 2010, working his way up to becoming an 11-game starter last season. The Patriots rewarded Love before last season with a two-year contract extension that included a $500,000 signing bonus. Love responded with strong performances against the run, playing 49 percent of the Patriots’ snaps in 2012, according to Reiss, mostly on running downs.

Love’s agent, Richard Kopelman, said his client lost weight this offseason, but he gained most of it back quickly after the diagnosis.

“Naturally, we are disappointed that the Patriots decided to part ways with Kyle, especially in light of the fact that a number of elite, professional athletes with diabetes — both Type 1, which is known to be far more difficult to manage than Type 2 diabetes — have had very successful careers in professional football, hockey, baseball and basketball,” Kopleman told Reiss.

When word of Buck’s dire situation reached Texas, Dallas County Sheriff R.A.”Smoot” Schmid wrote a letter of introduction to the local authorities for Buck and Clyde’s mother Cumie, and a deputy sheriff provided money to help her cover the costs of the 36-hour drive to Iowa by Model-A. She and her youngest son LC arrived for Buck’s last conscious hours. As his pneumonia strengthened he became delirious and finally slipped into a coma, from which he did not wake.

Henry and Cumie Barrow put off buying a gravestone for Buck. They were sure Clyde would follow him into death any day, and whether for practical or loving reasons or a mix of both, decided to wait for Clyde. Clyde liked the idea and suggested the epitaph to go over himself and his brother: “Gone But Not Forgotten.”

On Buck and Clyde’s shared gravestone, Buck’s year of birth is incorrect. His mother gave the stonecutters their sister Nell’s birth year for him. However, she had recorded the birth dates of all her children in the family Bible; there, Buck’s birthdate is 1903.

3 Women Reunited Families, Three young women who were held captive in a residential home for as long as a decade are in “fairly good” physical condition and have been returned to their families, but police — who have arrested three middle-aged brothers in the case — said Tuesday they will move slowly before pressing the women for details on their ordeal.

“Right now, we want to let them spend some time with their families and take this process very, very slowly and respectful for their families and the young girls’ needs,” Deputy Police Chief Ed Tomba said at a news conference Tuesday.

The three — Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight — were freed after Berry’s screams late Monday afternoon alerted a neighbor, who helped her slip through a small opening in a door.

Also freed was a 6-year-old girl believed to be Berry’s daughter, police said.

“Amanda is the real hero,” said Tomba. “This is the one that got this rolling.”

Authorities declined to say whether the women were restrained or if any of them had been sexually assaulted.

Police rushed to the scene within two minutes after Berry called 911 from the neighbor’s home. Police then freed the other two women.

The women were hospitalized in fair condition, but released to their families on Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Michael McGrath said the women’s emotional well-being was the top priority. “After we get that stabilized, we will move forward with the debriefing process,” he said.

Police also declined to elaborate on possible charges against the three suspects.

The three were identified as brothers, Ariel Castro, 52, the owner of the house and a former Cleveland school bus driver, Pedro Castro, 54, and Onil Castro, 50.

Police said authorities investigated Ariel Castro in January 2004 after he left a child in a school bus at the depot. All questioning took place outside of his home. No charges were filed in the case, police said Tuesday.
